The Indian Army has completed the construction of a 190-foot-long Bailey bridge in Wayanad, Kerala, in record time. The bridge, built by the Madras Engineer Group, also known as the Madras Sappers, connects the landslide-hit areas of Chooralmala and Mundakkai over the Iruvanipzha River. The bridge, capable of handling loads up to 24 tons, was launched on August 1 and is now open to traffic. This construction, completed within 31 hours, is part of the Army's efforts to aid in rescue and relief operations in the region.
