IDF Helicopters to Transport Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari After 470 Days in Gaza Captivity
Jan 19, 2025, 02:05 PM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have prepared Israeli Air Force helicopters to receive and transport three Israeli hostages, Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari, who are set to be released from the Gaza Strip after 470 days in captivity. The helicopters will take the hostages to hospitals after an initial checkup at an army facility near the border, following their handover by the Red Cross. The IDF estimates that the process from the time the hostages are handed over to Israeli soldiers until they reach the hospitals will take approximately two hours, including 30 minutes to transport them to the absorption complex, about an hour at the complex, and another 30 minutes to the hospitals.
