Luka Doncic's 45-point triple-double leads Mavericks over Warriors 143-133 in NBA-record 48 three-pointer game
Dec 16, 2024, 03:21 AM
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Golden State Warriors 143-133 in San Francisco, setting an NBA record for combined three-pointers made in a game with 48. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with a triple-double, recording 45 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds, while shooting 16-of-23 from the field, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. He achieved his triple-double midway through the third quarter, marking his ninth career 40-plus-point triple-double, the fourth most in NBA history. Klay Thompson, facing his former team, contributed 29 points and five three-pointers to the Mavericks' victory. The Warriors set a franchise record by making 18 three-pointers in the first half and finished with 27 total, the most made in a loss in NBA history. Despite combining for 155 points in the first half and the Warriors' prolific three-point shooting, they were unable to overcome the Mavericks' offensive onslaught. Draymond Green made five three-pointers for the Warriors, and Stephen Curry added 20 points, seven assists, and seven three-pointers. The Warriors fell to 14-11 on the season, while the Mavericks improved to 17-9.
