Oct 11, 2024, 12:40 PM
The European Union (EU) is planning to impose new sanctions in response to cyberattacks and hybrid warfare allegedly conducted by individuals acting on behalf of Russia. Additionally, the EU is set to designate its first sanctions against Iran for transferring ballistic missiles to Russia. A high-ranking EU official indicated that the sanctions are expected to be announced on Monday. Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi has acknowledged the transfer of missiles to Russia but claimed they were not ballistic missiles, as they had a range of less than 250 kilometers.
