USAID Announces Over $1 Billion Aid Package for Ukraine, Including $825 Million for Energy System

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a significant aid package for Ukraine, totaling over $1 billion. Of this amount, $825 million is designated to support Ukraine's energy system during the upcoming winter. This allocation is twice as much as the previous year's funding for energy. Additionally, $275 million will be allocated for humanitarian aid, aimed at assisting the most vulnerable segments of the population. USAID Administrator Samantha Power made the announcement during her visit to Kyiv. The aid package also includes a new five-year rehabilitation program to help over 250,000 Ukrainians recover from injuries and adapt to new limitations. Furthermore, $1 million will be used to safeguard Ukrainian art.
