China Unveils CR450 High-Speed Train Prototype, Set to Reach 400 km/h with 450 km/h Test Speed in Beijing

China has unveiled its latest advancement in high-speed rail technology with the debut of the CR450 bullet train prototype in Beijing on December 29. This new model is designed to operate at a speed of 400 kilometers per hour, making it the fastest high-speed train in the world once it enters commercial service. The CR450 prototype can reach test speeds of up to 450 kilometers per hour. This development follows the success of the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway, which has facilitated 81.17 million passengers over four years with departures every 5-10 minutes. Additionally, the upgraded CR400AF-S Fuxing bullet train, which debuted in Chongqing, boasts a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour and features increased capacity, more spacious seating, and reduced noise levels, enhancing overall travel comfort.
