A highway bridge in northwest China's Shaanxi Province collapsed on Friday night due to torrential rains and flash floods, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 people and leaving over 30 missing. The collapse occurred on the Danning Expressway in Zhashui County, Shangluo City, causing 17 cars and eight trucks to plunge into the river below. Rescue operations are ongoing, with five vehicles already recovered. Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for all-out rescue and relief efforts to minimize casualties and safeguard lives and property.
