Aug 17, 2024, 06:56 AM
A U.S. court has ruled that Tahawwur Rana, a Pakistani-origin Canadian businessman, is extraditable to India for his alleged involvement in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The decision was made under the extradition treaty between the United States and India. Rana, who was tried in a U.S. district court on charges related to supporting a terrorist organization responsible for the attacks, still has the option to appeal the decision. The ruling was issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
