Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh, the world record holder and two-time world champion, won her first Olympic gold medal in the women's 400-meter individual medley at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The 17-year-old phenom completed the race in 4:27.71, finishing 5.69 seconds ahead of American Katie Grimes, who took silver with a time of 4:33.40. Emma Weyant, also from the United States, secured the bronze medal with a time of 4:34.93. McIntosh's victory marks the largest margin in the women's 400m IM since Tracy Caulkins' win in 1984.
