Trump Nominates Former Treasury Adviser Stephen Miran to Lead Council of Economic Advisers

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Stephen Miran, a former Treasury Department adviser from his first administration, to chair the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA). The CEA, which advises the president on economic policy, consists of three members including the chair. Miran, who holds a doctorate in economics from Harvard University, served as a senior adviser on economic policy at the Treasury during Trump's initial term. He is currently a fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a senior strategist at Hudson Bay Capital.
