Nov 19, 2024, 08:35 PM
President-elect Donald Trump is set to join Elon Musk at SpaceX's Starship Flight 6 launch in Texas on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Trump will be the first U.S. President to attend a Starship launch in person. The launch, scheduled for 4 p.m. Central Time at SpaceX's Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, aims to catch the descending booster stage using the launch tower's 'chopstick' arms. Ted Cruz and Trump's son, Donald Jr., are also expected to attend. Trump's plane, Trump Force One, flew over the Starbase before landing in Brownsville, Texas, where he was greeted by Elon Musk. Trump expressed his excitement about the launch, stating, "I’m heading to the Great State of Texas to watch the launch of the largest object ever to be elevated, not only to Space, but simply by lifting off the ground. Good luck to Elon Musk and the Great Patriots involved in this incredible project!"
