Mexican federal authorities, led by Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Omar García Harfuch, have seized approximately 1,500 kilograms of fentanyl pills—over one million pills—in two separate operations in the municipalities of Guasave and Ahome in Sinaloa state, marking the largest fentanyl seizure in the country's history. The operation, conducted on December 3rd, resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of firearms. The seized fentanyl is equivalent to 20 million doses and valued at approximately 8 billion pesos. President Claudia Sheinbaum highlighted the significance of this historic bust, affirming that such actions will continue to reduce violence in Sinaloa.
