A Saurya Airlines plane crashed during takeoff at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, on Wednesday morning. The aircraft, which was bound for Pokhara, was carrying 19 people, including crew members and airline employees. Initial reports indicate that the plane skidded off the runway and caught fire. At least 18 people have been confirmed dead, and the pilot, Captain MR Shakya, has been rushed to the hospital for emergency medical treatment. Eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke billowing from the crash site. Rescue operations have concluded, with 22 bodies recovered, and investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
