Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley surpassed 2,000 rushing yards for the season in just 16 games during the team's game against the Dallas Cowboys on December 29, 2024. With a season-high 31 carries for 167 yards, marking his 11th 100-yard rushing game of the season, Barkley became the ninth player in NFL history to achieve this milestone. He now has 2,005 rushing yards and set a new Eagles' yards from scrimmage record. Barkley is 101 yards away from breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards set in 1984.
