Trump Taps RFK Jr. for Health Role, Plans to Remove 'Industrial Waste' Fluoride
Nov 3, 2024, 05:13 AM
Former President Donald Trump has announced that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a well-known vaccine skeptic, would play a significant role in health care if Trump wins the upcoming election. Trump stated, "He’s going to have a big role in health care. Very big role. He knows it better than anybody." He also mentioned that Kennedy would "take care of women's health and your children's health." Kennedy, referring to fluoride as "industrial waste," has proposed that a Trump administration would, on its first day, advise all U.S. water systems to remove fluoride from public water, citing concerns about potential health risks such as arthritis, bone fractures, bone cancer, IQ loss, neurodevelopmental disorders, and thyroid disease. Additionally, Joe Ladapo, Florida's surgeon general and a fellow vaccine skeptic, is on Kennedy's list to lead the Department of Health and Human Services under Trump. This move would represent a significant reversal of long-standing public health policies, including the fluoridation of drinking water, which has been deemed one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century. The Trump campaign has not provided further details on Kennedy's prospective role or the proposal to eliminate water fluoridation.
