Australian-based Woodside Energy has agreed to acquire US-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) developer Tellurian for approximately $900 million. The acquisition will be an all-cash transaction at $1 per share, delivering value for Tellurian shareholders. This deal includes the Driftwood LNG export project in Louisiana, which Tellurian has been struggling to develop. Woodside is doubling down on LNG in anticipation of fast-growing gas demand. The total enterprise value of the acquisition is $1.2 billion.
