Los Angeles City Council Ends COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate with 13-0 Vote, Retroactive to June 2
Jun 13, 2024, 04:01 AM
The Los Angeles City Council has voted unanimously to end the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for municipal employees. The 13-0 vote terminates the vaccination policy for all current and future city workers retroactive to June 2. This decision comes more than a year after the city's coronavirus emergency declaration was lifted. The ordinance also establishes a pathway back to employment for city workers who were terminated due to non-compliance with the vaccine mandate.
