VisitPaul Pogba's Doping Ban Cut to 18 Months, Eligible to Play from March 2025
Oct 4, 2024, 04:38 PM
Paul Pogba, the 31-year-old French midfielder for Juventus, has had his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Having already served a year of his ban, Pogba can resume training with Juventus in January 2025 and will be eligible to play matches from March 2025. Pogba tested positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), a substance that boosts testosterone and is on WADA's banned list, but CAS confirmed that he unintentionally took the substance, which only affects females. His initial fine has also been set aside.
