The agreement marks a notable shift in the AI landscape, as it follows OpenAI's previous licensing deals with other major media companies like Conde Nast and Dotdash Meredith. This partnership aims to integrate Hearst's curated lifestyle and local news content into OpenAI's products, including ChatGPT, enhancing the AI's ability to provide users with reliable and diverse information. The deal includes content from over 40 local newspapers and 20 magazines.
