Om Birla Re-Elected as Speaker of 18th Lok Sabha for Second Term

Prime Minister Narendra Modi moved a motion in the Lok Sabha for the election of BJP MP Om Birla as the Speaker of the House. The motion was adopted through voice votes, leading to Birla's re-election as the Speaker for the second consecutive term. The election saw the presence of key political figures, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who accompanied Birla to the Speaker's chair. The opposition had also moved a motion for Congress MP K Suresh as Speaker. Following Birla's election, Prime Minister Modi congratulated him and expressed his anticipation for Birla's guidance over the next five years. Birla was elected as the Speaker of the 18th Lok Sabha.
