Ohio Purges Hundreds of Non-Citizens from Voter Rolls Amid 2024 Election Audit, Directed by Frank LaRose
Aug 1, 2024, 07:24 PM
Ohio is purging hundreds of non-citizens from its state voter rolls amid the 2024 election audit. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, a Republican, has directed county election officials to remove these non-citizens. The effort is part of a broader initiative that has seen almost 155,000 unqualified voters removed over the past four years. LaRose's office has already removed an additional 499 non-citizen voter registrations. The state is also enhancing its process by cross-referencing voter rolls with all social service programs capable of registering non-citizens, instead of relying solely on driver's license data.
