The grand jury's final report, released on Tuesday, highlighted 'profound and serious issues' related to the transparency and process of vaccine development and safety surveillance in the United States. Despite not finding any illegal actions, the jury recommended policy changes, including increased transparency around clinical trials and a ban on advertisements for pharmaceutical drugs. The investigation was initiated in 2022 amidst DeSantis's campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, where he positioned himself against pandemic lockdowns and mask mandates.
