European Commission Concludes X, Europe Not Gatekeepers Under Digital Markets Act
Oct 16, 2024, 10:16 AM
The European Commission has concluded that the social network X should not be designated as a Gatekeeper under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The Commission's investigation revealed that X is not an important gateway for business users to reach end users. Consequently, X will not be subjected to the additional regulations that come with the Gatekeeper designation. Additionally, the Continent of Europe has not been designated as a core platform service under the DMA. The Commission will continue to monitor the digital market and any changes that may arise.
