Indian Bus Plunges into River in Nepal's Tanahun District, 14 Dead, 17 Injured

An Indian passenger bus carrying 40 people plunged into the Marsyangdi River in Nepal's Tanahun district on Friday. The bus, registered with the number plate UP FT 7623, was en route from Pokhara to Kathmandu when the accident occurred. According to reports, at least 14 people have died, and 17 others have been injured. The bus is currently lying on the bank of the river, and search and rescue operations are being conducted by the Nepal Army at the site.
