1X Technologies Unveils NEO Beta: 25-30kg Robot with 70kg Deadlift for Home Use
Aug 30, 2024, 05:22 PM
1X Technologies, a Norwegian startup backed by OpenAI, has unveiled its latest humanoid robot, NEO Beta. This bipedal robot is specifically designed for home use, weighing approximately 25 to 30 kg, and is capable of performing various dynamic tasks with the same degrees of freedom as human hands. NEO Beta is designed to assist in a range of settings, from industrial environments to homes, and is powered by embodied AI that allows it to autonomously handle tasks around the house. The robot emphasizes safety and interaction with its soft, human-like features. According to Bernt Bornich, CEO of 1X, NEO can move as fast as a human, with the ability to jump, run, and perform other dynamic actions, and can deadlift up to 70 kg. The robot continuously learns and improves through the integration of its AI 'senses' and physical capabilities.
