VisitElon Musk's X Sues Twitch Over Alleged Advertising Boycott Since 2022 Acquisition
Nov 19, 2024, 05:30 PM
Elon Musk's X Corp has filed a lawsuit against Twitch, alleging that the streaming platform, along with other companies, conspired to boycott advertising on X, formerly known as Twitter. The lawsuit claims that this boycott has led to a significant loss of revenue for X since Musk's acquisition in 2022. The defendants named in the lawsuit include Mars, Ørsted, CVS Health, and other members of the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), who are accused of acting in parallel to discontinue their advertising purchases from X. The suit alleges that these actions were part of an illegal conspiracy to harm X's business.
