The company has quietly updated its settings, automatically opting users into this data usage without explicit consent. Users can opt out by navigating to Settings and Privacy > Data Privacy > Data for Generative AI Improvement. This change has raised privacy concerns, particularly as many users may not be aware of the default setting. LinkedIn assures that those with specific privacy preferences can opt out, but the automatic opt-in has been criticized. Users in the EU are not affected by this change.
