Leicester City Fire Steve Cooper After Five Months Following Chelsea Defeat
Nov 24, 2024, 03:58 PM
Leicester City Football Club announced the immediate departure of manager Steve Cooper after a dismal start to their Premier League season. Cooper, who was in charge for five months, secured only two wins in 12 games, leaving the Foxes just two points above the relegation zone. The decision follows a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea. Assistant managers Alan Tate and Steve Rands have also left the club. Ben Dawson, Danny Alcock, and Andy Hughes will oversee first-team training until a new manager is appointed. The club has not yet named Cooper's successor, but three frontrunners are reportedly under consideration.
