Prime Minister Keir Starmer Admits to Accepting £20,000 Loan for Son's GCSE Study
Sep 25, 2024, 09:30 AM
Sir Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister, has admitted to accepting a £20,000 loan in donations for accommodation from Lord Waheed Alli to help his 16-year-old son study for his GCSE exams. Starmer explained that the luxury accommodation was necessary due to the media attention his family was receiving during the election campaign, which disrupted his son's ability to study at home. The accommodation included a luxury £18 million Covent Garden penthouse. The dates of the accommodation, from 29th May to 13th July, have raised questions as they do not fully align with the GCSE exam period, which ran from 9th May to 19th June.
