India Approves Rs 3,307 Crore Kaynes Semiconductor Unit in Gujarat to Produce 60 Lakh Chips/Day

The Indian government has approved Kaynes Semicon Pvt Ltd's proposal to establish a semiconductor manufacturing unit in Sanand, Gujarat. This decision is part of the India Semiconductor Mission, aiming to bolster the country's semiconductor ecosystem. The facility will involve an investment of Rs 3,307 crore and is expected to produce 60 lakh chips per day. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the approval, highlighting the government's commitment to advancing India's technological capabilities and self-reliance in semiconductor manufacturing.
