Jewish Support for Democrats, Kamala Harris Hits Lowest Level Since Reagan Era: Poll
Oct 19, 2024, 04:15 PM
A recent poll by the Manhattan Institute reveals a significant decline in Jewish support for the Democratic Party, reaching its lowest level since the Reagan era. The survey indicates that Vice President Kamala Harris is projected to perform worse with Jewish voters in the upcoming election than any Democratic presidential candidate in the past four decades. The poll results show Harris receiving 62% of the Jewish vote, compared to 31% for former President Donald Trump. This marks a notable shift from previous elections where Jewish support for Democratic candidates was substantially higher, with Joe Biden receiving between 68% and 77% of the Jewish vote in 2020, and Hillary Clinton securing 70% in 2016. The poll, released Friday, was conducted by Forward/CHIP50.
