Jamie Komoroski Sentenced to 25 Years for Killing Bride Samantha Miller in South Carolina DUI Crash
Dec 2, 2024, 11:58 PM
Jamie Lee Komoroski, the woman accused of drunkenly crashing into a golf cart on Folly Beach, South Carolina, killing bride Samantha Miller on her wedding night last year, pleaded guilty on December 2, 2024, to three counts of felony DUI and one count of reckless homicide resulting in death. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison. The crash occurred in April 2023 when Komoroski, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit and speeding at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone, collided with the golf cart carrying the newlyweds and two family members. Samantha Miller, 34, was killed, and her husband, Aric Hutchinson, and others were seriously injured. During the sentencing, emotional statements were made by the victims' families, including Hutchinson, who revealed his wife's final words.
