Sep 21, 2024, 06:21 AM
Cristiana Bársony-Arcidiacono, the CEO of Budapest-based BAC Consulting, is reportedly under Hungarian protection following her company's connection to explosive pagers linked to deadly blasts in Lebanon. The pagers, which were licensed from Taiwan's Gold Apollo, were involved in attacks that killed 39 people and wounded 2,000. Bársony-Arcidiacono, who has a PhD in particle physics and speaks seven languages, denies making the explosive devices. Hungarian intelligence agency has interviewed her regarding the incidents. The pagers were reportedly used by Hezbollah. Bársony-Arcidiacono has also worked as an expert for the European Education and Culture Executive Agency.
