Australia and UAE Sign Trade Deal Removing 99% Tariffs to Boost Agriculture and Green Energy

Australia has reached a significant trade deal with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is expected to boost bilateral trade in agricultural products and minerals. The agreement will remove tariffs for about 99% of Australian exports to the UAE, facilitating greater access to investment by Abu Dhabi in green energy and critical minerals. Trade Minister Don Farrell announced that the deal aims to decrease household costs and further the Albanese government’s ambition to become a renewable energy superpower.
