Trump and Harris Launch Major Ad Buys in Key Swing States, Trump Spends $12 Million Targeting Harris on Immigration
Jul 30, 2024, 02:06 PM
Former President Donald Trump's campaign has launched its first major television ad buy since Vice President Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee. The campaign is spending approximately $12 million on ads in key swing states, including Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Arizona through August 12. The ads, which began airing on Tuesday, target Harris with accusations of being 'dangerously liberal' and criticize her stance on immigration and the border crisis. This marks Trump's largest ad buy of the election cycle, including a $1.6 million ad buy in swing states. In response, Harris's campaign has also initiated its first major ad buy, spending $676,000 on television ads in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. Additionally, the Harris campaign has allocated $50 million for paid media ahead of the Democratic National Convention. The ad campaigns from both sides signify the intensifying battle for voter support in the upcoming presidential election.
