The party's floor leader, Park Chan-dae, set a deadline for Han to promulgate the special counsel laws by Tuesday, warning that failure to do so would result in the impeachment process. The Democratic Party is expected to report the impeachment bill to the National Assembly on December 26, with a vote likely to occur on December 27. The ruling People Power Party criticized the opposition's actions, labeling them as a form of political hostage-taking.
