New Quantum Computer Breaks Google's Quantum Supremacy Record, 100 Times Faster and 30,000 Times Less Power
Jul 12, 2024, 03:08 PM
A new quantum computer has broken the 'quantum supremacy' record previously set by Google. The 56-qubit H2-1 computer achieved this milestone by performing calculations 100 times faster than Google's quantum computer while consuming 30,000 times less power. In 2019, Google claimed its quantum computer could perform calculations that would take the world's best supercomputer 10,000 years to complete. However, a classical computer has now solved the problem in seconds, significantly surpassing this benchmark.
