YouTube Integrates Google DeepMind's Veo AI for Shorts at Google HQ Event

YouTube has announced the integration of Google DeepMind's AI video generation model, Veo, into its Shorts platform. This new feature will allow creators to generate high-quality backgrounds and six-second clips. The announcement was made at the Made On YouTube 2024 event, held at Google HQ, where it was revealed that 92% of creators are already using AI tools. Additional AI tools for YouTube include text-to-video generation, brainstorming assistance, and an AI thumbnail generator. YouTube’s Inspiration tab will also provide AI-generated ideas and titles for creators.
