Turkey Ready to Export 10 Billion Cubic Meters of Gas to Europe Amid Ukraine Transit Halt

Turkey has announced its readiness to enhance its role as a key energy hub for Europe following Gazprom's cessation of Russian natural gas flows through Ukraine. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar stated that Turkey could export up to 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually to Central and Eastern Europe via the Balkan pipeline, contingent on European political commitment and investments in interconnection infrastructure. Bayraktar emphasized Turkey's capacity to bolster Europe's energy security, leveraging its strategic location and existing infrastructure, including the TurkStream pipeline and Azerbaijani gas exports.
