Biden-Harris Administration Renews Free COVID-19 Test Program for U.S. Households Starting September
Sep 23, 2024, 05:20 AM
The Biden-Harris administration is renewing the free COVID-19 test program for Americans. Starting at the end of September, U.S. households will be able to order up to four free COVID-19 nasal swab tests that detect current variants of the virus. The program, offered through the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, aims to provide these tests by mail to help detect and manage the spread of COVID-19, particularly as the new XEC variant spreads across the United States. The tests will be available through at least the end of 2024. The federal government will begin distributing the tests on September 23.
