Lionsgate has pulled the trailer for Francis Ford Coppola's upcoming film 'Megalopolis' after it was discovered that the trailer featured fabricated quotes from well-known film critics. The trailer, which was released recently, included negative reviews that were falsely attributed to critics such as Pauline Kael and Roger Ebert. Upon this revelation, Lionsgate issued an apology, acknowledging the error and expressing regret to the critics involved as well as to Coppola and his production company, American Zoetrope. The studio described the incident as an 'inexcusable error' and stated, 'We screwed up. We are sorry.'
