Fearless Fund Ends Contested Strivers Grant Program Amid AAER Discrimination Lawsuit Settlement
Sep 11, 2024, 02:01 PM
Fearless Fund, a venture capital firm that invests in women of color, has agreed to end its contested Strivers Grant program for Black women business owners. This decision comes as part of a settlement agreement with the American Alliance for Equal Rights (AAER) following a discrimination lawsuit. The lawsuit accused Fearless Fund of discriminating against non-Black businesspeople. As a result of the lawsuit, the firm lost nearly all of its partnerships, and information on other small business grants for businesses owned by women of color is no longer available on its website.
