Ezra Frech, a 19-year-old amputee from Los Angeles, has won gold in the men's high jump T63 at the Paris Paralympics. Frech, who is also a college student, had planned to run the 100 meters as a warm-up for the high jump but ended up winning one of the closest races of the Games. He later competed in the high jump final, securing his victory with a Paralympic record of 1.94 meters. Frech's parents were present to celebrate his achievement, marking his second Paralympic gold medal. Frech has also embraced his role with the Angel City Games and the broader Paralympic movement. Sam Grewe also competed in the high jump event. Frech is affiliated with USC Track and Field.
