Heritage Foundation Hacked by SiegedSec 'Gay Furry Hackers,' Project 2025 Data Exposed
Jul 10, 2024, 09:28 PM
The Heritage Foundation, a prominent conservative think tank in Washington, D.C., has been hacked by a group known as 'Gay Furry Hackers.' The cyberattack, claimed by the threat group SiegedSec, resulted in the breach of the foundation's database, exposing names, emails, passwords, usernames, user data, and logs of individuals associated with Project 2025. Approximately two gigabytes of data were posted online by the hackers. The attack appears to be a response to Project 2025, a proposal linked to Trump's second term, with an estimated 80% of its authors being Trump aides and advisors. Following the breach, SiegedSec released a chat log of its texts with the Heritage Foundation and announced its disbandment.
