Ethereum Researchers Justin Drake and Dankrad Feist Resign from EigenLayer Over May Conflict of Interest Concerns
Nov 2, 2024, 04:46 PM
Ethereum Foundation researchers Justin Drake and Dankrad Feist have resigned from their advisory roles at EigenLayer due to conflict of interest concerns that arose in May. The resignations follow community backlash over token compensation and perceived misalignment with Ethereum's principles. Drake, who also left the ultra sound team, has decided to turn down all future advisory roles, angel investments, and security councils, focusing instead on Layer 1 research and coordination. Drake acknowledged, "In hindsight it was a bad move for me to make."
