EU Orders Musk's X to Hand Over Algorithm Documents Under Digital Services Act

The EU Commission is demanding that X hand over internal documents related to its recommendation algorithms, content moderation practices, and oversight mechanisms, and has instructed the company to "freeze and store" the relevant data. This action follows concerns that X may be spreading disinformation, manipulating public debate in Europe, and potentially favoring far-right content. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticized Elon Musk's support for far-right movements across Europe, stating that such actions are "completely unacceptable" and "endanger democracy in Europe." X has been given until February 15 to comply with the EU's demands.
