DeltaPrime DeFi Platform Loses $5.93M in Admin Key Leak
Sep 19, 2024, 09:19 PM
DeltaPrime, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, has suffered a significant security breach resulting in the loss of approximately $5.93 million. The incident occurred due to the compromise of an admin private key, allowing the attacker to upgrade proxies to a malicious contract and drain funds from various token pools on the Arbitrum network. The breached private key was identified as 0x40e4ff9e018462ce71fa34abdfa27b8c5e2b1afb. The breach has led to the draining of pools such as DPUSDC, DPARB, and DPBTCb. The hacker has moved the stolen funds to new addresses and converted them to Ethereum. The DeltaPrime team is investigating the source of the breach. Meanwhile, the platform's total value locked (TVL) has plummeted by 40% as users rush to withdraw their assets.
