DAZN to Stream FIFA Club World Cup 2025 for Free, Secures $1 Billion Deal
Dec 4, 2024, 04:04 PM
FIFA has secured a landmark deal with DAZN, a British streaming service, to exclusively broadcast the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup globally. The agreement, reportedly worth around $1 billion, will see all 63 matches of the 32-team tournament, involving 32 of the world's top clubs, available to watch for free on DAZN's platform. The event is scheduled to take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025. This deal comes after FIFA's unsuccessful attempts to secure a broadcast partner, including talks with Apple TV. The agreement also allows for potential sublicensing to other broadcasters. There are suggestions that Saudi Arabia might be involved in funding this deal, although DAZN has denied these claims.
