Daniel Khalife, Ex-Soldier Accused of Spying, Admits Escaping Wandsworth Prison via Catering Truck

Daniel Khalife, a former British Army soldier accused of spying for Iran, has pleaded guilty midway through his trial at Woolwich Crown Court to escaping from HMP Wandsworth in September 2023. Khalife escaped from the prison by clinging to the underside of a food catering truck and was on the run for four days before being recaptured. He continues to deny the charges of espionage.
