Colt Gray Planned Georgia School Attack Over Trans Acceptance, Killing 4
Sep 6, 2024, 06:10 PM
Colt Gray, the 14-year-old suspect in the recent mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, had a history of being bullied for his sexual orientation and expressed frustration over the acceptance of transgender people. According to law enforcement sources and a CNN report, Gray's Discord account contained posts about planning a mass shooting due to grievances about the lack of trans acceptance. The attack, which Gray's father confirmed was partly driven by revenge, resulted in the deaths of two children and two teachers. Gray, who identified as LGBTQI+, had been on the FBI's radar since last year when he was 13, after making similar threats online and referencing the Sandy Hook gunman.
